Today, Rochelle at Slim Studio is reducing fat in the abdomen with CoolSculpting. A typical technique in positioning CoolSculpting applicators when treating the abdomen is to place four applicators in a diamond pattern around the navel. Rochelle demonstrates a unique applicator placement in this treatment, showing that “it’s not always a diamond!”

The patient has been marked and we were going to treat the upper abdomen and also the lower abdomen. The fat deposit on the upper abdomen will only require the use of one applicator. Rochelle will use two Petite applicators to treat in a “V” shape the lower abdomen, but this “V” will also cover a portion of the fat in the upper abdomen.

We are going to DualSculpt this patient. DualSculpting is using two applicators in a “non-touching” area simultaneously. We’ll be able to treat her left flank while treating her right lower abdomen, and then we will treat her right flank with her left lower abdomen. Finally, we will treat the upper abdomen with a single applicator, by itself.

We wiped the tissue with a pre-treatment skin wipe and now we are ready to place the gel pad on the left posterior flank. The gel pad’s purpose is to protect the skin. The applicators will now be placed.
