What is EMSCULPT NEO?

The latest technology in non-invasive body sculpting, EMSCULPT NEO, is now available at Slim Studio Face & Body! Many providers have not updated their practice with the newest and best technology in the EMSCULPT family.

EMSCULPT NEO is the first and only medical device designed to help both men and women build muscle and burn fat, sculpting the body without any needles or anesthesia.

The FDA approved EMSCULPT in 2016, but the manufacturer (BTL Aesthetics) held back on releasing the technology until SEVEN clinical studies proved its safety and efficacy were published. Once the multi-centered studies were published, the first EMSCULPT units came to market in September of 2018.

How Does EMSCULPT NEO Work?

EMSCULPT NEO is the first and only device that is FDA cleared using HIFEM and RF to increase muscle volume and the number of muscle fibers, while simultaneously destroying fat cells.

Using HIFEM® technology (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic energy), EMSCULPT NEO induces supramaximal contractions. Voluntary contractions (those you fire during a workout) only use approximately 40 percent of your muscles’ capacity. But EMSCULPT NEO induces supramaximal contractions, which force your muscles into using 100 percent of their capacity. This level of muscle contraction is not achievable with voluntary contractions (self-exercise).

What Is EMSCULPT NEO's Technology?

When muscles are put into supramaximal contraction, they respond with a complete remodeling of the inner muscle structure.

There are two things that then happen to the muscle:

1. The muscle goes into hyperplasia - the growth of muscle fibers
2. The muscle goes into hypertrophy - the growth of muscle volume

This process results in an increase in muscle density and muscle volume and mass.

How Do RF & HIFEM Work?

What sets EMSCULPT NEO apart from other body sculpting procedures? Utilizing both HIFEM and RF (Radio Frequency), EMSCULPT NEO's technology builds more muscle and reduces more fat than any other device on today's market.

NEO's predecessor, EMSCULPT, only utilizes HIFEM.

EMSCULPT NEO utilizes radiofrequency (RF) energy to target fat reduction and muscle growth. The applied RF energy gently elevates muscle temperature, mimicking the preparatory effects of a warm-up exercise.

This thermal stimulation increases metabolic activity within the subcutaneous fat cells, leading to their controlled destruction (apoptosis). The body then naturally eliminates these damaged fat cells through its regular metabolic processes.

Clinical studies showed, on average, a 30 percent reduction in subcutaneous fat after four sessions of EMSCULPT NEO.

One of the remarkable things about the EMSCULPT NEO HIFEM® process is that putting your muscles into supramaximal contractions for 30 minutes is the equivalent of doing approximately 20,000 sit-ups if you’re treating the abdomen.
