Slim Studio BodySculpting
Your body is your temple, and you have the ultimate power to modify this personal marvel. Body sculpting is a never-ending adventure and one that should always bring you joy. Historically, you’ve had to do all the work to change your physique on your own, whether it’s at the gym, running, lifting, doing yoga, or more; it’s always been a solo task. Now there are new body contouring technologies that can take on some of the “heavy lifting” and assist with the building of your dream body.
EMSculpt and CoolSculpting are taking over the body contouring market and changing bodies every day. Although these two treatments may seem similar, they are actually unique in their own way. EMSculpt and CoolSculpting both serve a purpose in the world of body contouring—these treatments can be an overwhelmingly powerful stand alone or used in combination.
Working out and eating a healthy diet is fantastic for your overall health. But we often put in hours at the gym and eat a strict diet but feel as if our physical changes have plateaued.
You may reach a point when no amount of doing sit-ups, squats, or running is getting you to your goal. This can be frustrating when you know you are putting in the work, and nothing gives.
With the introduction of EmSculpt, a technological marvel that builds muscle, we now have the option to take our bodies to a level of strength and definition that we can’t achieve on our own.
CoolSculpting, a non-invasive fat reduction technology, can reduce stubborn fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise. Some people will be ideal candidates for Emsculpt only; some people will be better suited for CoolSculpting only, but many people will find a huge benefit in adding Emsculpt and Coolsculpting to their workout.
What is CoolSculpting?
If you work out and eat a healthy diet but you still have annoying, stubborn pockets of fat, then CoolSculpting is the non-invasive fat reduction treatment that you’ve been looking for.
CoolSculpting uses a fat freezing method called cryolipolysis. This powerful cooling energy is applied to the fat pockets that you want to get rid of.
Coolsculpting can target fat “only” and not harm or disturb any of your other anatomies, because fat cells will freeze at a warmer temperature than normal cells.
Coolsculpting’s intense cold injuries and ultimately kills fat cells. Your body then metabolizes the dead fat cells through your lymphatic system and eliminates them through waste.
CoolSculpting works on these areas:
- Upper and lower abdomen
- Anterior and posterior flanks
- Inner and outer thighs
- Upper arms
- Chin and underneath the jawline (awesome for facial aesthetics)
- Bra-line and back
- Underbutt (great for booty enhancement!)
- Front armpit fat
Most patients are very satisfied with one or two CoolSculpting treatments. The amount of treatment needed depends on which area of the body is being CoolSculpted and the size of the fat layer that needs reduction.
Even though CoolSculpting can reduce the fat layer by 20-25%, it is important to understand that the treatment is not indicated for overall weight loss. The fat reduction of Coolsculpting will be lasting if a healthy diet and consistent workout regimen are maintained.
What can you expect during the CoolSculpting procedure?
There is no downtime, prep, or anesthesia required for this treatment. If the facility has two machines (like Slim Studio), the treatment time for most areas is 35 minutes. For those of you who lead busy lives, you can “sculpt away” during your lunch break!
Sensations you may experience during treatment could include mild tugging, tingling, and pinching. These sensations vary from person to person, but intense pain is not common. In most cases, following the first few minutes of the treatment, the area becomes numb, and any discomfort subsides.
What is EMSculpt?
The hottest new technology in body contouring has arrived! Emsculpt is the world’s only procedure to help both men and women build muscle while simultaneously burning fat. The Emsculpt applicators are placed on the body on desired areas of treatment. Magnetic energy is delivered through the applicators. Using HIFEM (High-Intensity-Focused-Electromagnetic) energy, the muscles are forced into supramaximal contractions. These are contractions that you cannot achieve voluntarily during exercise. The vigorous contractions then force the muscles to fatigue—at a higher level than what happens during an intense workout. This creates microscopic injuries to the muscle, forcing the muscle fibers to repair and grow both in strength and in volume. The EMSculpt technology is great for those who desire muscle growth, enhancement, & definition. It is the only FDA cleared treatment that can non-surgically enhance muscles. The muscles are not just for show either; EMSculpt has been proven to increase physical muscle strength through the HIFEM technology.
Have you ever had a very intense workout and then your body punishes you with extreme soreness? This side-effect of intense physical exertion is due to lactic acid build-up and over-worked muscles. During an EMSculpt treatment, lactic acid and toxins are flushed out, therefore, minimizing soreness.
You might be thinking, “Well, I can just do a rigorous set of crunches or squats, and I will get similar results.” In a very short time frame, EmSculpt does what your muscles cannot. One 30-minute session of EMSculpt is equivalent to 20,000 sit-ups, or 20,000 squats!
Even better news, EMSculpt implodes fat cells as it builds muscle definition, though not on the same scale as CoolSculpting (which is why some clients opt to receive both treatments.) The areas EMSculpt can currently treat are the abdominal muscles and the gluteus muscles of the buttocks. Soon, EmSculpt will be able to treat the biceps, triceps, and calf muscles.
What can you expect during an EMSculpt treatment?
EMSculpt typically takes 30 minutes per session/per area. The recommended protocol for treatment is a series of 4 sessions done over a two-week time frame. The intense contractions can feel like your muscles are being pushed to their limit and you may experience some sensations like light burning or tickling. Some people find the muscle contractions of an EmSculpt treatment to be more intense and experience a bit more discomfort than others, but usually, after the initial treatment, your body adjusts to the unique sensations. There have been no adverse events reported to date; however, electronic or metal implants in the body would contraindicate treatment.
